ACY Billboard Font

Post by RRFoose » Wed Nov 11, 2015 12:55 pm

Does anyone know what the name of the large "ACY" font was that the AC&Y used on their boxcars, covered hoppers, and cabooses?
I searched the forum for "font" and didn't get a return, nor did I see a topic that looked like it applied to this, so I figured I'd ask!

I know of no "font" for the ACY large lettering. All the large "Billboard" cars I made for my current decals were custom designed. Used various photos ,scanning programs and methods to develop the letter sizes. If you look on the "Great Decals" web-site under the ACY listing , I have all the large letter sets available. The big 4427 , 4460, 4600 and 4650 covered hoppers as well as the later paint schemes of the smaller GV-2 and ACF ones.
I also have quite a few of the various " Billboard" boxcars available. Drop me a line , and I can give you info. wade Griffis
