We start with a rare color photo of Class 'R' Mikado No. 406 on the
turntable at Brittain taken 10/22/44. The 406 is brand new, just received from Lima!
The photo is from the collection of the late Ira Messenger, a long-time AC&Y
fan. The original photographer is unknown.

An F-M H20-44 pounds the same crossing that same
year. This photo is also by Vaughn Neel who opearted the tower that
protected this crossing.
