Lima 0-8-0 by Carl Lantz

"Here are some photos of my O scale rendition of AC&Y #37. It is based on a kit made by the late Henry Pearce of the USRA 0-8-0. It has the rear sand dome moved 15" per AC&Y practice. It has a front end throttle and the usual ACY front end treatment, including the tool box. The standard USRA tender has been re-worked to follow ACY specifications; please note the unique rivet line for the slope sheet of the coal bunker. And, of course, the ACY "dormitory" size doghouse.

"The cab windows, doors and vents all operate as do the coal bunker, tool box and doghouse doors. The sand dome hatches, tender water leg tool storage doors, and tender water fill hatches all operate. The cab and doghouse interiors are illuminated and the engine has constant reverse lighting. The class lights are real too. The model has a working ash pan door as well. A TRW can motor is used for power.

"This is how the 37 appeared late in her career. My locomotive is not 100% correct, but I think a pretty good representation of AC&Y #37." - Carl Lantz.
