the ex-NKP GP30s (N&W 2900-2909) were definitly on the ACY at one time or another. I've seen photos of them but unfortunately I did not railfan in the 70's (to young). I do not doubt that they were on lease to the ACY, but records have yet to surface documenting the actual lease. One other note to remember is that the N&W began to use runthroughs on the ACY in the mid to late 70's, and a variety of power could have easily laid over in Brittian Yard.

The ACY didn't officially cease to exist until 1982 (pending southern merger probably caused N&W to clean up the bookkeeping). However starting in about 69/70, the ACY autonomy & seperate identity began to slowly slip away. By the late 70's the ACY could be hard to identify as a seperate entity. Also the locomotive arrangements seem to get more confusing as one gets into the later 70's. It begs the question: If you lease a locomotive to a wholly subsidiary, is it truely a lease?
