Weekend Photo Shoot Sat. 7/14/12

Postby mattwoods » Sat Jul 14, 2012 10:37 pm

Fellas:

I was gone for a couple of weekends but I wanted to try to resurrect the weekend photo shoot and get some participation. I realize it is summer but modelling knows no off season. Here is a fantasy Mogul that is the coming together of an irresistable new Bachmann model with sound and some remaining AC&Y steam decals I had. I know the purists will be offended, but the engine looks plausible despite the 4-6-0 number. I also included a photo of my Mt. Blanchard depot minus the new Tomar train order signal that I just purchased. I'll have to figure out how to mount the signal whether it's operational or not.

Matt has provided his steam loco weathering techniques which are, indeed, impressive! We hope to feature his expertly weathered AC&Y Class M consolidations in an upcoming issue of AC&Y HS NEWS together with other modeling articles. Nice work, Matt! REL

Bob:

Thanks for the compliments. I think a lot of people are hesitant to weather their steam engines, but I will try to demystify the process and give people a formula for a predictable outcome. I look forward to sharing these techniques.

Matt
