Company Store

Postby Luke » Mon Jan 25, 2016 1:28 pm

While the AC&Y HS Company Store has been closed for a couple years, we still have a few items for sale, mainly photos and magazine back issues. These will be offered periodically on EBay with the proceeds going to support the AC&Y HS Archive, the bulk of which has been placed with the University of Akron. We are waiting for confirmation, but it appears Norfolk Southern (Foundation) will match our donated funds on a dollar-for-dollar basis. Please note that our stock of early B&W printed magazines is nearly depleted. In many cases, there are only single copies remaining. If anyone has interest in these historical AC&Y items, suggest checking EBay on a regular basis.

We have retained five (5) complete sets of ALL published magazines. One has been donated to the University of Akron Archive to accompany our other donated items at that repository. Another set has been donated to the DeGolyer Library at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. That remarkable repository also holds a vast collection of Robert W. Richardson AC&Y negatives. The DeGolyer staff has been most supportive of the Society over many years, providing high resolution scans of the Richardson negatives under very favorable terms. The remaining three sets will ultimately find homes. The Barberton Public Library is under consideration. We are open to other suggestions. Presently, the three remaining sets serve as publications reference for as long as we continue to provide AC&Y fans online magazines.
