Coal Compnaies

Postby jud8979 » Fri Sep 23, 2016 6:04 pm

Checking random Akron City Directories the location off North Hawkins was operated by W.E. Wright. I grew up within spitting distance of that crossing. I could find no listing for a Mower/Mowher Coal checking every five years from 1920-1946.

Church Coal was on Triplett Blvd between Seiberling St and Kelly Ave. Right at the bottom of the hill next to the old Triplett Auto Wrecking which is LKQ Corp today. My dad used to buy coal from Church. I think it is a garden store today.
