Re: Last remaining AC&Y boxcar in original paint(?)

Chris thanks for the clarification. I guess I was easily fooled and showed my ignorance of the AC&Y's numbering sequences. I thought I might be on to something unusual.

Last remaining AC&Y boxcar in original paint(?)

I took this picture at the Age of Steam Roundhouse in Sugarcreek. I don't know for sure, but it may be one of the only freight cars still in original AC&Y paint. It is actually in surprisingly good shape. Does anyone know the history of this car and where Jacobson got the car? AC&Y plug door...

Re: Akron Barberton Belt

Matt, I don't model the A.B.B R exclusively, but did do one of their diesels. I used an Athearn S12. It was kind of a quickie job, but it turned out ok. I actually had custom decals made for it, but they didn't work out. Maybe I will post pictures of the model. Your fill and bridge look great. Keep ...

Re: Delphos yard

Chris thanks for the photo link. I look forward to watching your layout progress. I know Clever brothers used to male red insulbrick texture paper for the later versions of the yard office. Jtt makes some good texture styrene sheets, that are bigger than what evergreen offers. As for the freemo, I w...

Re: Delphos yard

Looks good Westend. Handlaid track is hardcore. Have you started your engine house or yard office yet? I'm thinking that my initial freemo module will be Vaughnsville, but I need to get out there to take some pictures of the elevator. I saw where it is still standing. So many great locations to model.

Re: West end AC&Y depot models - photos

Westend,I really like your version of the Vaughnsville depot. I was unsure about colors and based mine on color photos of other depots from a later error. I plan on adding the small opening or window on the one end at a later time. I think were off to a good start with this forum. I think it's going...
