Proposal for a weekly photo posting.

I am proposing a weekly photo fun, similar to the old Atlas forum, or Model Railroader weekly photo posting. Anything you've done or are working on would be of interest. It could be AC&Y specific or layout progress shots. The more responses, the better. Let's see your work and encourage each oth...

Re: Mount Blanchard depot

Robert and Bob, thanks for all the great information. I think I probably have enough to go by to make a decent model. I'm mad at myself for not getting a better idea of the dimensions before I started. Photos can be deceptive based on the angle they are taken from. I would like to get some pictures ...

Re: Mount Blanchard depot

Bob, thanks for the picture. That is the one that I was working from, but I discovered by looking at another photo, that I over estimated the length. I made mine 40 feet, and it's probably no more than 30 feet. I'll just have to make a more acturate version. I chose to model this, because it didn't ...

Re: Mount Blanchard depot

Chris, thanks for the information on Mt. Blanchard. It certainly sounds like a modelgenic location. I like small rural towns, with two or three industries and a depot. Any additional information would certainly be appreciated. I can tell that I have made my depot too long. What I have done so far lo...

Mount Blanchard depot

I am currently scatchbuilding the Mt. Blanchard depot, and am working off from basically one photo. Would anyone have any additional photos of this depot, along with information about other trackside industries or structures in Mt. Blanchard? I would greatly appreciate any information anyone might h...

Spencer Feed Mill Destroyed By Fire

I went to Spencer on Saturday to get additional photos of the feed mill along the former AC&Y and I was very surprised and dismayed to find it burnt to the ground. The attached article confirms that it was not a controlled burn. I am currently scratch building the structure and will have to pres...

Re: Can I Help?

That's great news! Thanks to all who made this come about. I am really looking forward to the finished product and believe it will be a great resource that will increase the awareness and visibility of the AC&Y and ABBRR. I would be happy to help in any way needed.

Re: AC&YHS Free-mo Modular Layout Questionnaire

Tim: Thanks for taking the time to answer the questionnaire. When I devised it, it was not intended to be presented in this type of medium, but I thought it couldn't hurt to at least make it available here so people could start thinking about some of these considerations. It sounds like you have som...

Re: Free-Mo Modular Layout

Tim: Thanks for the compliment in regards to my module. I am hoping to possibly do 2 more. As you can see, the legs fold up completely under the frame. There will be a 2" foam layer on top of the cross braces flush with the top of the sides and ends. I will likely do Vaughnsville, maybe Spencer...
