Re: What you can do with Society decals

With the diesel set (for yellow engines) and a little black paint you can back date your Atlas H16-44. 201 is at Delphos.

West End images

All,

I am working on a program for this years convention in October. I am looking for any images of the AC&Y's west end (Carey-Delphos) up to the abandonment. If you can contribute please email me. Thank you for the assistance.

Matt

There was a track for Fosters Lumber, The Farm Bureau, and a team track. I can upload a map tonight.

Re: Delphos yard

Things have been progressing rather slowly but the the track is in place from 3rd street to the yard. The NKP transfer is in place as is the runaround track. The ties for the mainline have been glued into place. Tomorrow the rail will be spiked down. The wye will be last. I have a second level going...

Re: Mail Cranes - Another Riddle!

Bob,

I think the answer is simple. They were installed and used for a very short time. They were retired and removed rather quickly. How much mail traffic was the AC&Y really moving to towns like Rimer and Vuaghnsville anyway?

Re: Last remaining AC&Y boxcar in original paint(?)

The car is former C&O. I remember it sitting at the house track at Sugarcreek in 2001 prior to repainting. Jerry wanted it painted into AC&Y. The number series is wrong for the insulated boxcars the ACY had anyway. The lettering is just a decal job. I worked for the OC from 2001-2003, we used that c...

Re: Delphos yard

I started the engine house. That is a tough subject to model. It changed in appearance a great deal over the years. You really have to start studying images to see what I mean. The yard office/agency will next followed by the coaling tower and the smaller buildings. I think Rushmore will be my first...
