Re: HO scale H20-44 diesel shell
I have heard this complaint. For years, we have actively lobbied Atlas (and any other potential manufacturer) to make an H20-44 shell available, but nobody has stepped up to do it. Big Dawg proposes to use the old brass shell from Alco Products as the basis for the new shell. Those locomotives (and ...

HO scale H20-44 diesel shell
Big Dawg Originals in a small company that produces superstructure shells and detail parts for model railroaders. They have been approached about producing a shell for the Fairbanks Morse H20-44 diesel, which would be correct for AC&Y 500-504. This HO shell would be designed to fit on the tried and ...

Re: Sanctioned source for new AC&Y-A&BB Morning Sun Book
Main Line Hobby Supply, in Blue Ridge Summit, PA got theirs either Wednesday or Thursday. By midday Friday they were sold out. They're ordering more. Scotch Plains, NJ (home of Morning Sun Books) is about 200 miles east of Blue Ridge Summit. If they're being posted from there, I expect the UPS or US...

The book has begun to appear at some hobby shops!
Thanks to Bob Lucas from all of us.
Without his tireless efforts, this would never have happened.

Re: AC&YHS Spring Meeting
It'll be April, Tim. More than a month away.
I'm anxiously awaiting the info too. I'm not sure whether I'll make it or not, but I'm making tentative plans.

Mather 1200-1220 series boxcars
For a proposed commercial modeling project, a photo of one of these cars is needed. These cars had an inside height of 9'11". The side door and the area around it are of particular interest. Please check your photo collections and let us know if you find anything. Thanks, folks!

New items announced for early 2015
A friend was at the train show at Springfield Massachusetts and reports that Atlas has announced a new run of F-M H16-44 diesels in their Master Series. The AC&Y paint scheme is not being offered this time, but modelers who missed these engines in the past may want to do some repainting. Liveries to...
